PHP Developer

Description:
You will participate in the creation of viral Facebook apps that leverage existing APIs.  The apps you create will captivate the world and bring our servers to their knees, but only from the traffic they generate and not from bottle-necked and inefficient, unoptimized code.

Qualifications:
• 1-2+ years of LAMP development
• Ability to setup development environment on Linux platform
• PHP 4 & 5
• MySQL 5+
• Strong understanding of Object Oriented Programming
• Subversion
• Javascript, AJAX, HTML/CSS, XML
• Apache configuration and optimization including mods
• Code Igniter Framework
• Expert knowledge of cookies and sessions
• LAMP configuration and troubleshooting experience a big plus
• Ability to interface with XML webservices / API’s

Special consideration will go to candidates with a background in BS/MS Computer Science, Computer Engineering or web development with 1-2+ years in a professional engineering position.

Flash/Flex Developer/UI Designer

Description:
You will serve as the expert in visual design; flash game and interface design; and usability and design principles for software engineering design and development projects. Contribute to the team’s continued success by sharing technical knowledge.

Responsibilities:
• Design and develop Flash-based UIs and applications.
• Interface design as well as utilization of advanced client side technologies including CSS, Flash/Flex, JavaScript, ActionScript, DHTML, and AJAX for web development.
• Interface UI to a MySQL backend using web services.
• Provide analysis and recommendations to optimize product usability.
• Create, implement, and enforce style guidelines following industry best practices

Qualifications:
• 1-2+ years of experience designing/developing user interfaces for web applications.
• Expert Flash knowledge
• Experience with Flash Media Server and server-side web frameworks.
• Advanced knowledge and proficiency with HTML, DHTML, CSS, AJAX, JavaScript, ActionScript 2/3, and Flash/Flex programming.
• Deep experience designing modular, object-oriented ActionScript and Data driven UI experience.
• Advanced knowledge of cross-browser CSS support with the ability to achieve 99.5% browser consistency across Firefox, Internet Explorer 7 & 8, and Safari without using CSS hacks or browser specific CSS.
• Thorough understanding of web technologies and trends, usability techniques, and best of breed interface solutions.
• Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and practices.
• Knowledge of UI performance techniques; ability to investigate then design creative solution to common performance issues.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-directed, capable of independent work.
• Possess creativity, strong organizational, analytical and problem solving skills.
• Must be highly motivated and able to work remotely and within cross-functional teams.
• Ability to handle complex aspects of software development and support in a large scale, distributed, multi-browser environment including requirement definition, design coding and testing, and production releases.
• Must possess good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well in a deadline driven environment.
